[55] Kiss me, I'm Irish by Bella Street REVIEW

Kiss Me, I'm Irishby
Emily Musgrave is heading a direction she never wanted to go in Regency England--namely a convent to turn her from her waywardness. But it's more loneliness than rebellion that motivates her to escape her certain fate.
Liam Jackson is going nowhere fast in modern-day Tennessee. Playing his Dobro in seedy bars and backward dives along with his fiddling sister, Tinker, is doing nothing for his music career--and even less for the dark places in his soul.
Pixie dust and thieving mischief can not only change time-lines, it can change hearts--because a girl can only get so far without a little magic in her life.

MY REVIEW
4/5

Super short blurb: Emily is wayward. She has a weakness for Irishman, she kissed a few and now she heads to a convent. Some problems made her head to 12th century actually…
I’m not a huge fan of romances but oh, this one stole my heart.

Time travel is a really well-worn topic, so I didn’t expect anything breathtaking. It was still a big pleasure to read Kiss me, I’m Irish. Why?
This book is full of amazing humor. From misunderstandings because of Emily’s old English to… shaving legs. I’m not often moved by jokes in books but I laughed like crazy this time. Big plus!

Some things have changed over almost 200 years and it’s easy to see. This brave little girl handles it well anyway, and for me – a little too well. I wouldn’t feel lost in her situation, I would rather sit on the road and cry. I‘m not complaining much because I’m just a little loser (At least, I’m honest with myself).

What do we need in a romance book? We need a hot guy! And Liam is one. I have a big weakness for musicians (hey, my boyfriend is a drummer) so I fell in love with him immediately. He was annoying sometimes but I simply forgave him. And… He’s Irish.

Tinker is an amazing character too, but it’s hard to say anything about her without spoilering you the whole story. You need to find it out by yourself ;)

“Kiss me, I’m Irish” is a paranormal romance, don’t forget about it! It has a gentle touch of magic and mystery. I think this mystery keeps it together and it really isn’t predictable! I simply loved this part of the book!

To sum up, it’s a page turner, clean and cute romance perfect for summer. And if you have a weakness for  Irish man and musicians… You’ll love it!

AMAZING QUOTES

“That's a killer accent you have. Sounds exotic.”
“Just British, I'm afraid. I only know a trifling of foreign tongues.”
He plopped down onto the divan next to her, his multi-colored arm stretched along the back.
“Foreign tongues—I like the sound of that.”
She thought to the article she'd read in the nail salon. “I've picked up a little French and Italian, and more recently, a bit of Hindi, I believe.”
“Really?” he said, leaning close. “Such as?”
“Oh, you know, Kama Sutra, and things of that nature.”
Suddenly Liam was at her side. “You'll be sitting out front, Emily,” he said through gritted
teeth, “right next to the stage.”

---

“What the hell do you have on?”
Emily looked down at her ensemble. “I have done something wrong, haven't I?”
“Did Tinker put you up to this?”
“Well, she said it was my manager uniform.”
“You...you look like an oversexed librarian.”
She blinked. “Is that a bad thing?”

What do you think about it? Do you know any good time-travel related books? Or... Maybe you are Irish? ;)
